One Word: Ornaments

I loooove me some ornaments. I know people often go with themes when it comes to decorating their Christmas trees, whether based on particular figures, colors or even a favorite sports team, but I like the eclectic, pulled together look myself. As you saw yesterday, none of my ornaments follow any kind of pattern – They are simply a collection of the ones I have acquired or been gifted in my lifetime, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. That said, I certainly APPRECIATE all kinds of looks – I just don’t have that kind of restraint!

But of course ornaments are now being used in ways FAR beyond the tree. In today’s “One Word” feature, we see them in shadow boxes, hung from string against a wall as art and used as chandeliers. If you choose to DIY your ornaments this year, please send along your photos and/or links! I’d love to see what you come up with.
