House Tour

Welcome to our home! I am so excited to have you stop by for a virtual tour. If you haven’t already gathered from my daily posts (and an extra special “Welcome” to you if you are new to the blog) we live in a townhouse, so there are about fifty other homes that look just like it in the neighborhood. But with a little love and a lot of one-of-a-kind pieces, we are slowly transforming our home into something distinctly unique. Enjoy.

You’re joking right.. wow! Very well done! I kept waiting for the ‘haha, just kidding, this is what we WANT our house to look like’ message. It looks amazing!

Thank you! I got it at a consignment shop in town…I think it’s one of those things where you just have to keep your eye out at thrift stores, etc. Maybe try ebay!

That’s an awesome find! I actually have family in Lynchburg and visit fairly often. Which consignment shops/thrift stores do you recommend? Thanks!

Thanks! It’s definitely one of my favorites…I saw from your (adorable) blog that you live nearby – Small world!! Whenever you are in town, I suggest visiting the consignment shop on Waterlick Rd. (which is where I got my bar cart), the Estate Specialist downtown and the Goodwill in Forest on 221. Those are my favorite places to shop for cheap finds!

Stunning! I love that it feels like a home and not something staged for a magazine, but is full to the brim with style and personality.

If I might ask, what is that amazing dark grey used in the bedroom?

Thank you SO much!! How kind of you to say…

The color in the bedroom (I’m glad you like it!) is Olympic’s “Victorian Pewter.”

Love your home! I’ve seen a few paint color questions already, so I’ll throw mine in too. What is that beautiful green color in your guest bedroom?

Thank you, Brittney! The color you ask for is “Icy Mint” by Valspar. It’s my favorite color in the house, hands down =)

I just found you and your blog through Facebook. I love your house tour! I really enjoy your use of yellow to brighten up some of your spaces.

    I’m a new fan! (And a Lynchburg-er as well) 🙂

You are just amazing i love looking at the photos of the transitions the house has made. When i saw your living room before i thought it looked great, like a look i would want for mine. I cant believe that you made something that was already nice and turned it into perfection. love every thing. you are so inspiring .I’m just truly grateful for you and your blog. It has really inspired me. i always had the conception that the reason my apartment was boring plan and horrible was because i needed lots of money for things. That i had to buy expensive paintings to have large paintings on the wall. You have showed me how easy it is to make own. i will like to start on a wall using stencils. I’m hopeful it can come close to how gorgeous yours is. I will like to know what are the two colors you used for the stencil wall?

Wow, Michelle!! Thank you so much for your kind words! You just made my day 🙂 And I’m beyond thrilled that you know that you really DON’T need tons of money to spruce up your apartment! Just think creatively and you’ll get there in no time…The two colors for the stencil wall are Olympic’s Cornmeal (the light yellow) and Yellow Coneflower (the dark yellow).
